Why Sanctuary Story?
A sanctuary is a place of refuge, but also of formation. I started creating my own “sanctuary” many years ago while living in poverty. I was a friendless, familyless young adult feeling like I did not belong anywhere – I had no home. Over time, I learned the value of making my own home, based in peace, stability, and joy. I believe we can create a life that reflects what we truly believe. In a way, we are all actively writing our own stories. This blog is where I share my own journey and encourage others to share their own.

A Bit About Me
I am an aspiring author documenting my journey to becoming a published writer. My subscribers are following my journey of writing Legalism Into Light, which follows some of my adventures and growing pains I experienced in my mid-twenties. I live happily in St. Augustine, Florida—the oldest city in the U.S.—with my darling husband, Peter. My passion is discovering stories that inspire strength and resilience, which I am currently working on sharing myself.
